State Representative Joanna McClinton and Jordan Harris announce $2.5M RACP funding to help build Bartram’s to Passyunk Phase II alongside SRDC’s Board Chairman Jerry Sweeney and Heather Saeger

On Tuesday Jul 19, 2022 State Representative Joanna McClinton, Jordan Harris, and State Senator Anthony Williams announced a $2.5 million dollar Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP)  on the banks of the Schuylkill River. Joseph Syrnick, the President and CEO of Schuylkill River Development Corporation and Jerry Sweeney, SRDC Chairman of the Board, provided remarks at the event. 

The RACP grant will be used to help build Bartram’s to Passyunk Phase II, an extension of Schuylkill Banks in Southwest Philadelphia. The extension will run along approximately 3,400 feet of the west side of the Schuylkill River starting opposite of 61st and extending to Passyunk Ave. The plan includes an ADA accessible trail, lighting for nighttime use, and improved stormwater management.
