On Monday, February 7th, members of the Southwest community gathered to celebrate ACANA’s Commerce Corridor Trash Truck Dedication. The truck will be serving the 2nd and 3rd Council Districts and was jointly sponsored by ACANA and M&T Bank. The vision for the new trash truck is helping with trash removal efforts in Southwest and furthering the City of Philadelphia Department of Commerce TCB-Corridor Cleaning efforts.

Several speeches were made by community members, elected officials, M&T Bank Employees and business owners. Voffee Jabateh, Councilmember Jamie Gauthier, and The Honorable Tracey L. Gordon spoke about the importance of keeping the community clean in order to attract more visitors. Cleaner streets will make Southwest more appealing for travelers from the airport to stop and enjoy African Cuisine and patronize other local businesses. Thank you M&T and ACANA for your dedication to the Southwest community.
