The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced today that the eviction moratorium has been extended until July 31st, 2021. Dr. Rochelle Walensky, CDC Director, signed the extension with the intent of July being the final month of the moratorium. Starting in March of 2020, there have been several orders temporarily halting evictions due to COVID-19. According to a report from the Aspen Institute in August of 2020, the moratoriums had helped 30% of renters in the United States. This number only continued to grow.

If you are one of the many Philadelphia residents struggling to pay rent or utilities, contact us before the moratorium ends on July 31st, 2021. We offer help with the Phase 4 Rental Assistance Application. You can receive up to $10,000 in rental assistance, and $2,000 in Utility Assistance.
