The City of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Eagles are encouraging the Eastwick community to “swoop in” and get vaccinated on Juneteenth this Saturday, June 19 at St. Paul’s AME Church, 8398 Lindbergh Blvd. The one-shot Johnson & Johnson clinic run by the Philadelphia Fire Department — which is open to anyone 18 or older who currently lives or works in Philadelphia — will operate from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., no registration necessary. Eagles mascot SWOOP will be joined by an Eagles Legend to greet fans and give away team swag from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In addition, Dietz & Watson will be cooking up hot dogs and sausages for friends and family who come and get vaccinated.

“For Eastwick, Juneteenth not only signifies the freedom and progression of African Americans in this country, but our continued struggle to achieve environmental, economic, educational and social justice within our own community,” said Carolyn Mosely of Eastwick United. “With support from the City of Philadelphia, our elected officials and local partners, we are confident that our dream will be realized. And we extend our thanks to all of the organizations working to make this event a success.”
