Library hosts “A Taste of African Foods” – Saturdays
Just the thing for homebound Philly chefs during the C-19 Crisis. Learn how to prepare delicious, nutritious meals according to the traditions of people with African roots. “A Taste of African Foods” is a series of online cooking sessions presented by the Free Library of Philadelphia and co-sponsored by Healthy Communities in partnership with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health’s Division of Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention.
The Free Library invites cooking enthusiasts to celebrate the healthy foods of the African Diaspora. Viewers can cook along with experienced master chefs in the comfort of their homes on Saturday afternoons from 2:00-3:30 p.m., May 23 to June 27, 2020.

Once registration is complete, participants will receive a link to the e-classroom, as well as recipes, and the ingredients and equipment lists to follow along.
The programs are part of the Free Library’s commitment offering free, accessible cooking, physical activity, gardening, and mindfulness programming at neighborhood libraries throughout Philadelphia.
