A simple 2-minute online video will help new (and regular) voters learn about the new voting machines that they will encounter at the April 28 Primary Election.  On the “home” page of Philadelphia Votes, voters can elect to proceed in both English and Spanish. The video can be accessed at

The video takes the learner through the voting process step by step.   The narrator’s pleasant voice describes each of the steps very clearly and at a moderate pace from the point of entering the polling place and receiving the new blank paper ballot.   

The last day to register for the primary election is April 13, 2020.  A handy online guide to determine whether a resident is eligible to register is found at:

Our public libraries have computer stations which can be used to access these online voting services – which are provided by Philadelphia’s Office of City Commissioners.
