Legal Clinic for the Disabled

The Legal Clinic for the Disabled (LCD), located at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, has been around since 1990 and is a non-profit corporation that uses a team of in-house attorneys and a “dedicated core” of voluntary attorneys that provide advice and advocacy to help clients live safe, independent and healthy lives within their communities.

“Words cannot express how grateful I am to have experienced the excellent work demonstrated by LCD on my behalf,” said an LCD client.

Since opening, they have been providing free legal services to low-income people with physical disabilities, deaf and hard of hearing individuals who fall within the federal poverty guidelines. The LCD provides direct legal representation for debt collection, living wills, child custody, utilities, medical assistance, as well as many other matters.

The LCD is located on 1513 Race Street. For more information, you can visit the LCD website www.lcdphila.org, or give them a call at 215-587-3350.
