Mercy Hospitals Hold Workshops for Veterans June 4 & June 22

“Dine with the Docs” focus is on vet’s behavioral health issues

Veterans and military personnel often experience  behavioral health issues as a result of the unique conditions of modern battlefields and multiple warzone deployments.   Accordingly, Mercy Philadelphia and Mercy Fitzgerald Hospitals are sponsoring two special “Dine with the Docs” events featuring Mercy’s behavioral health experts talking about military health.

Veterans, military and their families and caregivers are invited to learn more about these sensitive matters, taking part in informative question and answer sessions and learning more about Mercy’s military and veterans’ health programs, while enjoying a complimentary meal.  “Your military background is part of who you are. At Mercy, it’s part of your healthcare, too,” advised a Mercy spokesperson. The workshops are as follows:

  • Tuesday, June 4, 6:00 p.m., Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, Medical Science Building, Norman N. Cohen, MD Auditorium, 1500 Lansdowne Avenue, Darby, PA 19023
  • Saturday, June 22, 11:00 a.m., Mercy Philadelphia Hospital, First Floor Cafeteria, 501 South 54th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19143

To reserve a place, call 1.877. GO MERCY (1.877.466.3729) or register online at mercyhealth.org.
