Pennsylvania Homeowners Assistance Fund has been reopened

In March, the PA Homeowners Assistance fund reopened for applications. The pandemic-era program assists struggling homeowners with their mortgages to help them keep up with their bills. Priority will be given to those who are facing foreclosure, sheriff’s sale, or utility shut-off. Funds are limited and currently available on a first-come, first-served basis to homeowners who have not previously received this assistance and are at least 30 days past due on mortgage payments or housing-related expenses. Applications usually take about 90-120 days to process.

Applicants can reference the regularly updated dashboard to check the availability of funds by county at pahaf.org/program-dashboard/
