On Saturday, August 14, area State Reps. Joanna McClinton, Morgan Cephas, and Movita Johnson-Harrell welcomed more than 1,200 constituents to the fourth annual 60th Street Health and Wellness Summer Jam

“The Summer Jam has always been a success that draws many residents from various communities in my district and the surrounding neighborhoods,” McClinton said. “It’s great when we all come together
to celebrate our communities and provide high-quality health and wellness resources to our constituents.”

The Jam began with a March for Peace escorted by the Philadelphia Police Explorers and the Philadelphia Drill Teams West Powelton and Magic Music. The event featured health screenings, children’s activities, live performances, food and refreshments. More than 50 exhibitors provided information on a variety of local organizations and state programs such as AETNA, AARP, and the Philadelphia Department of Revenue.

“It’s important that we keep this momentum of unity and togetherness, not only through family-friendly games and activities, but also through promoting healthy lifestyles,” McClinton said who thanked her fellow state lawmakers, City Councilmembers Curtis Jones, Jr. and Jannie Blackwell, local sponsors and organizations like ACHIEVEability and Home Health Care Plus, LLC.
