The Rotary Club of Southwest Philadelphia takes feeding those less fortunate seriously.  For close to 25 years, the Club has delivered hot meals to older adults and adults with disabilities who are home alone on Thanksgiving.  This year, 360 Southwest residents received meals due to the partnership they have with Summerwood Corporation, which owns and manages KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut restaurants in the Philadelphia area.

The Rotary Club also received enough donations to provide 20 Southwest families with baskets full of food for Thanksgiving dinner.  A turkey, vegetables, stuffing, gravy, and candy treats were given to each family.

The Rotary Club is made up of people who want to give back to their community and the world.  The Club meets each Wednesday morning at 7:30 at the Southwest Senior Center. Those interested in joining should attend a meeting.  For more information, visit the website: www.rotaryclubofsouthwestphiladelphia.com
