Cynthia Simpson, member of the Rotary Club of Southwest Philadelphia–Eastwick knew that there would be long lines at the polls in Southwest on Election Day. She recommended to other Club members that it would be helpful to voters to have bottles of waters at the polls.
So labels were made up to let voters know where the water came from and cases of water were distributed to eight voting locations throughout Southwest including at Tilden Middle School and Myers Rec. Center.
The Rotary Club is one of more than 35,000 Clubs around the world whose members are business professionals dedicated to community service. To learn more about the Club go to: http://www.rotaryclubofsouthwestphiladelphia.com/
