Southwest CDC would like to recognize United Healthcare and WSFS for their combined donation of $20,000 towards our Workforce Development Initiative. With their donation, eligible residents of Southwest Philadelphia will be able to participate in our Career Readiness and Vocational Training programs for FREE!
Participants will have the opportunity to enroll into training programs to obtain Nationally Recognized Certificates in multiple career paths i.e. Culinary and Hospitality (ServSafe certifications), Construction (OSHA certifications), Healthcare (CPR/AED certifications) and Technology (IT Support).
Our Career Readiness workshops will not only include Job Skills Training and Life Skills workshops, but will also include Financial Literacy and Digital Literacy courses for absolutely no costs to residents in Southwest Philadelphia.
Once completed, all program graduates will have immediate access to job openings in their choice of career path.
Thank you again United Healthcare and WSFS for allowing us to provide these services to those in need! For more information, please feel free to contact our Director of Workforce Development, Torrie Garvin at torrie@southwestcdc.org
