The students and parents of Tredyffrin Middle School labored before and during the day honoring Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., to create, prepare and deliver over 100 casseroles to feed residents at the 8 shelters operated by SELF Inc. in the city.
They were frozen and then transported by members of the Thursday Men’s Fellowship and Mission Pastor Sarah Hostetter at Wayne Presbyterian Church. The men’s group has been meeting together steadily since 1988. As part of their outreach, members collect baked goods from bakeries and bagel shops on the mainline and deliver them to SELF Inc.’s Outley House Men’s Shelter every week throughout the year.
