The Southwest Senior Center closed in the middle of March like many others, but the dedicated employees have remained working and connected to the Center’s members.  Social workers and counselors are calling and checking in with the members, many of whom are ready to go back to the Center each week day.  The Center’s Supportive Older Women’s Network (SOWN) is even meeting by conference calls.

Staff is also making sure that the Center’s older adults have enough food by having Grab & Go meals available each day.

The Center honored about a dozen members who are veterans.  Those members received special care packages that were delivered by two City Police Officers who thanked them for their service to the country.
