A Water Department project is expected to start construction this summer in the Elmwood Park neighborhood of SW Philadelphia.
Construction will install green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) tools in Connell Park, and along S. 66th St., S. 67th St., and Buist Ave. (see map below).
This is a part of the City of Philadelphia’s Green City, Clean Waters 25-year plan that works to keep pollution out of local waterways, by using these GSI tools to absorb stormwater.
