Have you ever wanted to learn more about mushrooms? The Cobbs Creek and surrounding communities are invited to join the Philadelphia Mycology Club for a guided Mushroom Walk. Learn about different types of fungi that grow in the park and how you identify them! Sign up for free to save your spot. The Cobbs Creek Ambassadors are planning their fourth annual Cobbs Creek Summer Festival on Saturday, September 12th from 11am-3pm at Thomas Ave & Cobbs Creek Parkway just north of Whitby Ave. The rain date is Sunday, 9/13. The FREE event is full of activities including horseback riding, fishing, bird watching, a bounce house, food, and more!

Council President Johnson is pleased to announce that his office will be providing free food on a first-come-first serve basis to constituents in need on Tuesday, July 14th, at the 12th District Police station in Southwest Philadelphia starting at 12:30 PM. He is partnering with Caring for Friends and Allegheny West Foundation to make sure the community has access to fresh, nutritious food. Bring a friend, relative, or neighbor. See you there!
