Southwest CDC’s after-school scholars kicked off the Halloween season with an exciting community Trunk-or-Treat event hosted in partnership with Pacifico Cares. Students gathered for an evening filled with costumes, decorated car trunks, and plenty of candy. Still, the highlight of the night was a special appearance by Philadelphia Eagles safety Sydney Brown.]
The partnership didn’t stop at Halloween. Each year, the National Football League celebrates My Cause My Cleats, a league-wide initiative that allows players to showcase charitable organizations and personal causes on custom-designed cleats. This season, Sydney Brown chose to represent Pacifico Cares, proudly wearing their name and mission on his cleats during game day. His support brought national visibility to the organization and highlighted the meaningful work they do right here in Philadelphia.
Together, Southwest CDC, Pacifico Cares, and Sydney Brown created a joyful, community-centered celebration, one that left students with full candy bags, big smiles, and unforgettable memories.
